HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU PAY TO SERVICE YOUR LATE MODEL CAR?
The largest dealer group where I live in Sonoma County is adding services that not even the factory recommends. It can add one third or more to your bill. I just had this happen. These "dealer recommended services" can be relevant depending on mileage and type of use. But what matters is that as a customer you are almost certainly not able to differentiate between what is essential and what has been added on. The service writer will attempt to convince you these higher costs are worthwhile. But if they are so necessary why do they not appear on the factory's recommendations? BE CAREFUL, almost every new car dealer is now doing this.
