When this started I was mostly concerned about helping people recognize self sufficient defenses. That's been useful and often fulfilling but in that process it turned out helping someone discover future paths was equally rewarding.
I'm hardly clairvoyant but if I have any gift it's seeing how someone's life is likely to unfold. It usually occurs in a few explorations we share. Not really so cosmic. Rather we uncover practical, simple, commonsense realities.
But interacting with more than one person is obviously different. Mostly this happens when I work with a company which brings one or more employees together in person or on a conference call. Those discussions tend to revolve around critical protective approaches for problems too often overlooked.
Sound like fun? That's the normal reaction. Who wants to waste time talking about all this nasty defensive stuff? It will never happen to me, right? Try this number. About one person in eight or nine will encounter some kind of upsetting or devastating financial problem or crisis. It happens to people who don't deserve it.
Can I prove that one in eight or nine? No, not hard proof but it's approximately true based on experience. In some cases it's been people who are way smarter than me who simply make a bad decision.
I am not a certified anything. Those folks are all around, certified financial planners and similar. I am intuitive, experienced and oddly directed. I often see occurrences others miss because my goal is not controlling your money or life. I feel more useful when I can have a meaningful interaction. Life Coach? Mmmm, not really. But I spent fifteen years as a talent director in record companies and 35 more years in executive search work. I am comfortable learning about people and helping them figure out paths that may work best. Or at least not to screw up their futures.
That's why we can talk. It's free, you need to call my office phone 707 778-2100. Tell me how to find you and when is good to call? I don't need your last name.
Why free? Because that makes the most sense, at least to me. I can always start charging. It's my little payback scheme for having had a good ride.
